Since the launch of the Sustainable Aviation Fuel (SAF) initiative and “Business Aviation Guide to the Use of Sustainable Alternative Fuel” in 2018, the SAF story and the Business Aviation Commitment to Climate Change have gained global momentum.  On May 18, 2019, the business aviation community marked another milestone on the journey to a lower carbon future with: “Fuelling the Future” at TAG Farnborough Airport.

During the multifaceted event, business aviation and civic leaders gathered to discuss the path forward for the continued adoption of SAF and aircraft from major

manufacturers, such as Bombardier, GulfstreamCirrus,

Embraer, Piaggio and Textron fueled up on SAF for demonstration flights showcasing the viability of sustainable aviation fuel.

About us

The SAF initiative, developed by a coalition of international aviation organizations, was created, first, to address a "knowledge gap" on the availability and safety of SAF and, second, to advance the proliferation of alternative jet fuels at all the logical touchpoints: the manufacturers, the ground handlers and the operators, at the regional, national and international levels.
